So kind of a worthless post I know, but I thought everyone should see how cute my little nephew Peter is.

Lyrics

As all of you know, I'm obsessed with music. There are many songs and lyrics to them that inspire & move me. I see music as a better form of poetry. And like all art, most people can walk away from the same painting with a completely different experience and view of it. That's just like music. Below are some of my favorites. Tell me what you think! What are some of your favorite poems, artists, singers/songwriters, lyrics, etc?

Postcards From ItalyBEIRUT.
The times we had
Oh, when the wind would blow with rain and snow
Were not all bad
We put our feet just where they had
Had to go
Never to go

The shattered soul
Following close but nearly twice as slow
Were my good times
There were always golden rocks to throw
At those who
Those who admit defeat too late
Those were our times
Those were our times

And I will love to see that day
That day is mine
When she will marry me
Outside with the willow trees
And playing songs in May
What made me so
And I would love to see that day
The day was mine

WarningINCUBUS
Bat your eyes girl.
Be otherworldly.
Count your blessings.
Seduce a stranger.
What's so wrong with being happy?
Kudos to those who see through sickness...yeah

Over and over and over and over...........

She woke in the morning.
She knew that her life had passed her by
She called out a warning.
Don't ever let life pass you by.

I suggest we
Learn to love ourselves,
Before its made illegal
When will we learn, When will we change
Just in time to see it all come down

Those left standing will make millions
Writing books on ways it should have been

She woke in the morning.
She knew that her life had passed her by
She called out a warning.
Don't ever let life pass you by.

Floating in this cosmic Jacuzzi
We are like frogs oblivious
Soon the water starting to boil,
Now I flinched and we all float face down

She woke in the morning.
She knew that her life had passed her by
She called out a warning.
Don't ever let life pass you by.
Pass you by.

William Eggleston

Last night I watched a show on our cable's On Demand called "Who gets to call it art?" It was an art documentary talking about many different artists in the fifties, sixties, and seventies that inspired a lot of modern and contemporary art. Among all the artists, William Eggleston was my favorite and I posted some pictures above that are his. I'm totally into the old sixties look to pictures, anything that's in a sepia tone I absolutely love.

Who are some of your favorite artists?

Kiersten loves...

Sorry to everyone that linked my other blog to their page, for whatever reason it wouldn't let me log on, so this is the REAL blog now. At least I hope so. I don't think google likes me very much.

Anyways, Here are just a few of the things I love:

My perfect boyfriend, John Hexemer Carden. Don't ask what I would do without that boy, because I couldn't tell you. My friends, they do so much for me. Pistachio ice cream. Sunsets and sunrises. Peter Kent Holdaway. My sisters, Megan & Kelly. Spring flowers. My cell phone (haha, but seriously...) Poetry. Good books. Chai tea. People who aren't afraid to be themselves... even if they are just like everyone else. Shoes, more specifically boots & hippie sun dresses. Hair cuts. Art & photography. Sushi, the Deep-Sea roll from Osaka, mmm! Photobooth pictures. Mullets. Gandolfo's Deli. Steven Terry, James Bridge, & Alex Larsen, my best guy friends since the seventh grade. The Beatles. Music in general. Cousins. Family get-togethers. Orchestras. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, & Indiana Jones. Beirut the band. Beautiful & inspiring lyrics. The beach, specifically La Jolla Shores or Cove. Puzzles, for the most part. Incubus, the band. Vampire books.

I'm sure I'll think of more things, but that covers the basics. Basically.
